The Latest in Luxury Amenities: Exclusive Fine Dining

luxury amenities private dining NYC

New York City has some of the best food in the world. From Michelin-starred restaurants with long reservation waitlists, to delicious food carts and hole-in-the-wall dives–NYC has it all. The New York City restaurant scene is competitive, with restaurateurs and chefs constantly innovating in order to stand out from the pack. Likewise, real estate developers–facing their own competitive market–have begun integrating exclusive fine dining experiences into their luxury amenities. These perks can range from in-house, residential fine dining from renowned chefs, to private spaces in hot restaurants and bars.

The luxury real estate market is constantly changing, and so is the NYC restaurant scene. On this page, we will explain this unique intersection and give you an overview of some of the exciting fine dining amenities that new developments offer.

The Mandarin Oriental Residences Fifth Avenue

The Mandarin Oriental Residences Fifth Avenue are bringing turnkey luxury living to NYC. Turnkey units are move-in ready from day one; they come with everything you need to live luxuriously. Residents will enjoy fully furnished interiors from only the best brands, like Molteni furnishings, luxe Frette sheets, Georg Jensen silver, and personal care products from Acqua di Parma. Every detail has been carefully considered and taken care of before owners even set foot on the property.

This unparalleled experience is the brainchild of developer SHVO and the Mandarin Oriental Resorts. Together, they have created a hotel-like living experience perfect for busy New Yorkers who do not want to have to worry about the small stuff, or who want a second home in the city without concerns about upkeep.

The Mandarin Oriental Residences’ Luxury Amenities

The Mandarin Oriental Residences Fifth Avenue offers a host of luxury amenities, including onsite private dining. They have teamed with renowned chef and restaurateur Daniel Boulud to create Boulud Privé–the chef’s first foray into exclusive fine dining residential amenities.

Chef Daniel Boulud

Daniel Boulud is a superstar chef, renowned throughout New York food circles for his delicious French cooking, elevated presentation, and consistent quality. Named “the best restaurateur in the world” by Les Grandes Tables du Monde, Chef Boulud is known for his eponymous restaurant Daniel. Founded in 1993, Daniel has been collecting accolades and delighting New Yorkers ever since. With two Michelin stars, Daniel is a New York fine dining institution, and no doubt will continue its tradition of excellence for years to come.

Chef Boulud built on this success, and now has 11 restaurants internationally. Five of them are right here in New York:

  • Daniel
  • Bar Boulud
  • Boulud Sud
  • Joji
  • Le Pavillon

With the addition of the Mandarin Oriental Residences Fifth Avenue’s Boulud Privé, there will be six.

Boulud Privé is not the only special dining amenity at the Mandarin Oriental Residences Fifth Avenue. Residents can enjoy delivery from Daniel Boulud’s other nearby restaurants, as well as an exclusive contact for reservations at L’Avenue at Saks, the renowned retail hub’s French Bistro.

Located on the 12th floor, the restaurant offers private fine dining for residents and their guests, as well as an outdoor terrace great for socializing or taking in some fresh air. The restaurant also offers catering and can host events.

Central Park Tower

Central Park Tower is another Billionaire’s Row new development with fantastic private dining options. The tower, designed by Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture, is the tallest residential building in the world. This architecture firm specializes in supertall designs, and they brought that experience to bear when designing the 1,550-foot glass tower. The glass reflects the light and the surrounding environment, creating a striking facade that bends perceptions of indoors and outdoors. Residents can take in incredible views of Central Park and the surrounding city, or watch the sunset from high in the clouds, all in the comfort of their own home.

The amenities offered at the Central Park Tower are second to none. Known as the Central Park Club, this collection of amenities give residents a hotel level living experience, everyday. Curated by lifestyle guru Colin Cowie and stretched across 50,000 square feet, the Central Park Club includes the following amenities and services:

  • Terrace pool and sundeck
  • Terrace bar
  • Private Park
  • Lounge with billiards
  • Screening room
  • Indoor pool and spa
  • Indoor sports court

Residents of the Central Park Tower also have exclusive access to the highest private restaurant ever built: the Grand Ballroom.

The Grand Ballroom at the Central Park Tower

Located at the very top of the Central Park Tower, the Grand Ballroom is luxury private dining taken to new heights. Here, residents and their guests can enjoy menus from Michelin starred chefs like Alfred Portale, Laurent Tourondel and Gabriel Kreuther, all presented by lifestyle director Colin Cowie.

Chef Alfred Portale is known for leading the New American cuisine movement through his work at Gotham Bar and Grill, a New York institution that maintained a three-star rating through five different reviews over several decades. After 35 years at Gotham, Chef Portale branched out to create his own restaurant–Portale.

Chef Laurent Tourondel is a French Chef known for 13 restaurants, including the BLT brand. His New York restaurants include L’Amico, an Italian inspired American restaurant, and the Vine, a New American restaurant in Chelsea.

Chef Gabriel Kreuther is known for his Michelin-starred, eponymous restaurant located in Midtown, Manhattan. There, the James Beard award-winning chef creates French-Alsatian dishes with a distinctly New York flair. New Yorkers with a sweet tooth may also know him from Kreuther Handcrafted Chocolates, a collaboration with Pastry Chef Marc Aumont that marries French technique with surprising and inventive flavors.

Selene

Selene is luxury midtown condominium building developed by Vanke US and designed by renowned architects Foster + Partners, William T. Georgis, and Joseph Dirand. The glass tower is located at the corner of 53rd Street and Lexington Avenue, and is distinct in its minimalist design.

For relaxation and entertainment, Selene residents can enjoy the billiards lounge. For work, residents can use the Atlas Library and Lounge, a comfortable space with private rooms for meetings and events. And of course, for dining, Selene residents can enjoy easy access to Le Jardinier.

Le Jardinier

Although Le Jardinier is not a private, exclusive restaurant for residents of Selene, it is located in the building, giving residents unparalleled access to this Michelin-starred, fine dining experience. At Le Jardinier, chef Alain Verzeroli has created a vegetable-forward menu that focuses on sustainability and freshness. The cuisine is French, but the ingredients and atmosphere are distinctly local.
