It can seem that there is more vegetation than people in Woodhaven, a refreshing sentiment in a neighborhood where the 7 train runs straight through it and whisks residents to their Manhattan jobs. Sitting just south of Forest Park, it’s no surprise that “A Tree Grows in Brooklyn” — even though Woodhaven is in Queens! — was written in this neighborhood. It’s appropriately packed with leafy trails and commercial shops alike, along the area’s namesake boulevard.
