Ozone Park has hosted multiple communities throughout its 200-year American history, perhaps best known for its Italian population. Those roots, along with Irish and German ones, remain, and at the turn of the century it’s become increasingly populated with those from further afield. The tree-lined streets remain a constant, as does the 20-acre Tudor Park with its ball fields and picnic areas. But the big cahuna is the Aqueduct Racetrack on the neighborhood’s eastern border, a spot featured in many films and the only horse racetrack in the city.
