Like many neighborhoods in the borough, Maspeth marries industry with nature, mostly through the many well-kept and handsome cemeteries that are found around this larger Queens community. A commercial and residential locale, Maspeth is uniquely near the western end of Queens, and thus close to the city. However, it does not have any subway lines running through it. Commuters depend on buses or their cars or work locally at any of the many businesses along bustling streets like 51st Avenue, 65th Place, or Flushing Avenue.
